April 3, 2018
Dear Parents,
I apologize for my unexpected absence before Spring Break. I had been battling what I thought was seasonal allergies brought on by the rain, but the fever on Thursday afternoon definitely told me otherwise. When we return from Spring Break, we will begin two large projects-the Robot Project and our Animal Reports.
Expo Night-
Expo Night will be this Thursday, April 5th, from 5-6:30. Due to prior commitments on March 22nd, I did not sign our class up for a booth, but it's a great night to bring the family and interact with other classroom booths.
Zoo Field Trip-
A zoo field trip packet will come home in today's folder . There is a lot of important information included, so please take a moment to read through it. It is important that you read it carefully. We will be needing parents to drive and chaperone.
Headphones-
We will be using headphones with our tablets daily. It is best if you send headphones or earbuds for your child to use during class. This way they are clean and are only used by your child. You can buy a cheap pair of earbuds at a dollar store. Please send them to school by Friday.
Classroom Needs-
We are in need of Kleenex boxes, paper towels, disinfecting wipes, and baby wipes for the class. Students would also benefit from having a few extra pencils in their backpacks for their own use.
Spirit Day-
Spirit day is each Friday. Children are encouraged to wear Manchester clothing to show their Manchester spirit!
Upcoming Events-
April 3- Zoo Mobile
April 10- Zoo Talks
April 12- Zoo Field Trip (Parents Desperately Needed)
April 30-Progress Reports Go Home
May 2-Volunteer Appreciation Tea
May 21-24 Scholastic Book Fair
May 24-Open House
Also, thank you for all of the generous supply donations and for sharing your children with me each day. You really are the best around!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Connelly
